Counseling Director Karen Gosling
WebConference
counseling takes place over the Internet. WebConferencing is essentially a computer program that sit on a
server and allows online real-time discussion to occur between
two or more parties. Gosling International will set-up an online
private webconference for each client (and/or partner, family
member) with his or her counselor at a time suitable to both parties.
Gosling International will offer WebConference counseling
from January 2009.
Gosling International counselors are available for real-time consultations
at various times of the day EST - Eastern Standard Time (GMT
+ 08.00). All you have to do is contact Goslings
to request webconference counsling, stating your preferred appointment
date and time. We will notify you by email if the time
is not suitable to us, and suggest alternative times.
Otherwise, we will email you a confirmation of your appointment
time along with instructions you will need to log into the
private webconference.
In a private real-time WebConference, our counselors are
able to respond directly to you, much the same way as in a
telephone counseling session. Through the use of WebCams you are able to see you counselor and he or she can see you. Whilst not all non-verbal
communication is picked up, and verbal responses are not as
spontaneous as in telephone counseling, the benefits of WebConference
counseling is that it is more interactive then email counseling.
There is an ongoing uninterrupted dialogue rather than waiting
for a reply to questions and concerns. |
