Families in Conflict

Most parent-child conflict occurs because both sides believe that they are not being listened to and that the other side is out of tune with their beliefs and interests.  Most parents don't want to be dissociated from their children and vice versa. Everybody wants things to be better.

Become better at managing conflict

counseling provides an opportunity for "warring" parties to come together to feel listened to and understood, key ingredients to reaching a compromise. counseling provides an opportunity to learn how communication occurs and how to listen to the other party and acknowledge their point of view.
