Managing Stress & Anxiety

Stress manifests itself in many ways from feeling irritable with peers and family to tightness of chest and panic attacks.  Anxiety is the fear of experiencing negative emotion in the future.  Often stress and anxiety can be related to a low level of self-esteem, and/or a feeling of not being in control of your life. People who have an avoidant emotional style will feel predominantly fear and anxiety, leading to serious physiological effects felt in the body.

Become aware of the cause of your stress

Through counseling you can identify what your stressors are and how they are affecting you.  Discuss with your fears, hurts, anger, criticisms, and perceived failures.  Learn new techniques and strategies to help you deal with stress and anxiety in your life, from the inside.
